An ISA curriculum offers students a wide range of activities, utilises diverse pedagogies, cultivates important life skills and dispositions, and responds to students’ interests. However, it is difficult within the normal school day to cater for all interests, for extended activities and for team activities which involve training, rehearsals, competitions, and performances. Hence the school co-curriculum programme responds by filling this gap. Activities such as individual and team sports, learning a musical instrument, playing in music ensembles, drama and theatre, dance, art, cultural activities, debating and public speaking, outdoor education activities, maker clubs and clubs for special interests are offered at ISA schools usually in the late afternoon and sometimes at other times
